CRC Actimania 2015
I am a Dawson student who has been studying in mechanical engineering Technology for the past 3 years. For those of you whom are not familiar with this program, it is basically a miniature engineering program designed around physical mechanisms rather than electrical control. All this is to say we love to build things, complicated things. A great example of our obsession with creation is the Computer Robotics Control competition that Dawson competes in every year. This competition requires the students and only the students to build a fully functional robot to perform a series of tasks that change every year.
This is an exciting event that involves 31 schools throughout Quebec and over 3000 people. In addition to the live coverage by CTV news and other online sources there are hundreds of companies who look toward these creative geniuses who build the robots and offer jobs and grants to those who stand out.
